     Angel Tree   Angel Tree Logo

Angel Tree Christmas is a great servant evangelism program - which provides two Christmas Picture of kids & Mom at Christmasgifts to children of incarcerated parents.  Angel Tree was begun in 1982, started by a lady in Montgomery, AL that served 6 years for armed robbery, she wanted to help the children of female prisoners.  They served 82children in 1982, but last year over 30,000 churches provided gifts to over 500,000 children of inmates.

Crossroads Church began supporting Angel Tree in 1995, by helping Coweta County families.  In 2005, the newly established Crossroads Prison Ministry assumed responsibility for this outreach, primarily assisted by the Crossroads biker ministry and the CMA Blessed Riders (Newnan).  Since then this program has grown and geographically expanded (with the help of 16 other biker ministries and churches) to deliver to 11 or 12 counties, and average serving over 300 kids per year, which has been the largest Angel Tree program in the Southeast the last 6 years!

Being in prison fractures a family unit, and causes problems at home for the children and care-givers, who are innocent victims of the inmate's crimes.  Angel Tree attempts in a small way to help re-establish those strained or broken relationships, while sharing the Good News of Christ.

Some bikers deliver Angel Tree gifts

We have used a "Christian Unity" model of delivering these presents, as over 16 other biker ministries and churches have helped us with this effort.  We don't anticipate our (04/2011) affiliation with F.A.I.T.H. Riders changing our ministry concept or delivery method.  We believe all the biker ministries that supported us in the past will continue to support us, and in fact, we may get some additional support from chapters that have not served with us previously.

Two boys get some Christmas gifts  Can 1 person really sort and bag all those gifts?

These children love to hear from their incarcerated parent, and they love getting some presents, but they also love seeing Bikes are loaded with presents for Christmas deliveryand hearing motorcycles!  In 2010, Crossroads Church and the Crossroads Bikers  partnered with CMA Blessed Riders, New Vision Biker Ministry, CMA Grace Riders, CMA Cross & Crown Riders, Beulah Baptist FAITH Riders, CMA Highly Favored Riders, Roopville Rd. FAITH Riders, Black Sheel HDFC, and Redeemed Biker Church to deliver 311 kids in 12 GA counties!

We are always appreciative of the assistance we get in planning, calling the caregivers, sorting and bagging the gifts, gift purchasers and the delivery teams!  We've had a core group of 20 and an extended group of 70-80 helping each year for the last 7 years and couldn't do it without you.  There's a place for YOU to serve in this ministry, by calling caregivers, making Angel Tags, working the table on Angel Tree lobby days, wrapping presents, last-minute shopping, or delivering presents to the children's homes.

In 2011, child sponsor days in the lobby at church were the last three weekends in November.  For delivery assistance in 2011, we received assistance from the CMA Blessed Riders (Newnan), CMA Grace Riders (Conyers), CMA Cross & Crown Riders (Carrollton), Beulah Baptist FAITH Riders (Douglasville), CMA Highly Favored Riders (Loganville), Roopville Road FAITH Riders (Roopville), CMA Unchained Riders (Gainesville), CMA Crossties (Lawrenceville), Redeemed Biker Church (Locust Grove), and County Line Baptist Church (Douglasville), to help us serve 344 kids in 12 GA counties and 1 AL county in 2011!

If you can provide some assistance in 2012 for this program, please contact Sam Connor, our Angel Tree Coordinator, at Angel Tree or call 770.301.1937.
